About Us

ABOUT US

We are created by LGBTQIA+ youth for LGBTQIA+ youth.

The Equality Crew in Northwest Arkansas promotes diversity, inclusivity, and equality throughout our community. We achieve this by offering various LGBTQIA+ youth programs that promote education and awareness around social justice and equality issues. We exist to positively impact our community and create a brighter future for all people.

Our vision is to create a society where diversity, inclusivity, and equality are celebrated and embraced by all. Our LGBTQIA+ youth programs aim to educate and empower the next generation to become agents of change and contribute to building a more equitable world. We believe in challenging discrimination and prejudice wherever it may arise and creating a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all backgrounds.

We also believe in creating a welcoming environment for all individuals and promoting diversity and inclusivity in our operations. We believe in transparency and accountability in all of our actions as we strive to positively impact our community and create a brighter future for all people.

Creating welcoming environments

We believe all youth should feel welcomed, regardless of gender, race, religion, or socio-economic status. Create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT.

As a non-profit LGBTQIA+ youth organization in Northwest Arkansas, we want to acknowledge that the land we work and gather on is the traditional territory of the Osage, Caddo, and Quapaw tribes.

We recognize that these tribes have lived on and cared for this land for thousands of years, and we honor their ongoing connection to this place.

We also recognize that the United States government forcibly displaced many tribes from their land in this region before treaties were signed, which has had a lasting impact on Native American communities.

As we work to create a more inclusive and equitable community for LGBTQIA+ youth in Northwest Arkansas, we also pledge to support the efforts of Native American communities to preserve their cultural heritage and advocate for their rights.

Colors are important and help tell our story.

We aim to honor the region and the work we do.
